Veeco Deluxe Company Brochure
Ted was commissioned by a large New Jersey transportation and logistics company, Veeco Services to design a deluxe pocket folder company brochure. The client requested that Ted shoot their new tractor trailer on one of the New York bridges that they cross many times a day with their fleet of trucks. Ted planned and photographed their truck on the famous iconic George Washington bridge. He received a tip that special, massive expensive lights are turned on only a few days a year giving an amazing glow of illumination to this beautiful bridge. Ted arrived early and photographed the bridge on Veterans day when the special bridge lights would be on at twilight and shot dozens of exposures. Part two of the shoot needed meant shooting the clients truck another night in their parking lot with 5,000 watts of lights and high beams illuminating their truck well so their name was very legible, then Ted digitally retouched and composing the tractor trailer on to the GW bridge. The final results were so believable Ted won Art Directors Club of NJ – Best Photography, Bronze, Bronze Medal 2012.
Ted designed the brochure to be a huge 3-page gatefold with a center pocket to hold 5 insert pages that highlight the five major services Veeco provides. The exciting gradient color inserts stand out but allow for easy inexpensive changes to their services later. Finally, Ted never creates a boring pocket to hold proposals, instead Ted created an exciting third page, die cut shaped pocket with a silhouetting contour of the clients brand new shiny tractor trailer cab making for a very creative unique brochure pocket.
The client was delighted with the final results and the design won a design award and was published in American Corporate Identity 2012 – Design Award, Best Brochure Category.
